And a few days after that we left on a cruise to Florida and the Bahamas. Let me just say that cruises/all inclusive resorts ARE. THE. BEST.
No cleaning, cooking, worrying, or stressing is allowed. It is wonderful. We had such a blast!
Before we went on the cruise, we were looking at what excursions we wanted to do. We saw that Universal Studio's Islands of Adventure was one of the options, and a literal tear went down my cheek.
As a child/teenager/young adult you could find me at any given moment, in my room, cuddled up with a book, and my favorites to this day are the Harry Potter books.
I was the ultimate fan. Not only did I go to almost all of the midnight movie showings, but I also went to several midnight BOOK openings. That's right. I went to Barnes and Noble, dressed as Hermione with my little eye liner lightning bolt on my forehead and $20 and a stick/wand in my pocket waiting with all the other nerds in line to get the book and then as a 10 year old I would read through the night and finish a thick 700 page book in 3 days. Obsessed doesn't even begin to describe.
So, when the opportunity to go to Harry Potter land was presented, I COULD NOT pass it up.
Sam made me believe that we probably wouldn't end up going.
But... the day before our first excursion he surprised me by taking me to the booking desk and buying us tickets. Best husband award goes to him. Everytime.
It was magical. Literally.
The rest of the cruise was spent lazing around, laughing at all the drunkies up late at night walk past us while we were in our jammies getting hot chocolate, tanning/burning, swimming in that clear blue ocean, and enjoying our love week.
I'm still waiting for my day to go to Harry Potter land. I'm just as obsessed. Looks so fun!
